Useless Projects is a no-pressure make-a-thon where students create quirky, scrappy ideas just for the joy of making. Top 25 makers win the Young Maker Scholarship, with a total prize pool of ₹5.5 lakhs. The focus is on creativity, originality, and the courage to build without worrying about utility or outcomes. Projects are evaluated for bold ideas, clear documentation, and the maker’s learning journey—not technical perfection. Projects must be built entirely during the event, with visible GitHub activity from the start. Solo participation is encouraged, but teams of up to 2 are allowed.
